A creative strategist BUILDING…
A CULTURE STUDIO
WHERE WELLNESS AND DESIGN MEET TO EMBRACE THE MAGIC AT THE MARGIN
My work lives at the intersection of wellness, culture, lifestyle, and personal transformation. I am interested in the nuance: the historical, political, emotional, and social context hiding underneath a trend, a brand strategy, a workplace problem, a beautiful room, a customer experience, or the version of yourself you are trying to become.
Because nothing is ever just a trend. Nothing is ever just a brand. And most things people call “personal” have a cultural backstory, a power dynamic, and at least one unnecessary rule attached to them.

Systems Change
I’ve spent more than fifteen years working across strategy, entrepreneurship, higher education, diversity, equity and inclusion, systems change, and social impact spaces.
I’ve built programs from scratch, stepped into inaugural roles, made a lot happen with limited resources, advised executives on why culture belongs in their leadership strategy, and learned how to move work through rooms full of red tape, competing priorities, and people who suddenly “need more data” when the answer is already standing in front of them.
That work taught me how to see patterns.
Not just what’s happening, but what made it happen; who benefits, who carries the consequences, and what could shift if someone brought more cultural intelligence, care, imagination, and design thinking to the table.
My perspective has also been shaped by study, travel, inner work, reinvention, and a lifelong fascination with people: how we make meaning, signal belonging, build identity, decorate our lives, perform success, survive change, and decide what is cool.
I have lived and worked across different places and alongside people with different races, faiths, sexual orientations, educational backgrounds, professional roles, and ways of seeing the world. That does not make me an authority on everyone’s experience.
It does mean I am practiced at staying curious long enough to notice what the obvious answer misses.
Through “The Funk Files”, videos, conversations, and creative projects, I explore wellness, culture, lifestyle, design, identity, and becoming.
Sometimes that means naming the politics underneath a cultural moment.
Sometimes it means asking why an experience feels so good, so off, so beautiful, or so strangely exhausting.
Sometimes it means making room for pleasure, reinvention, and a little well-earned drama.
This is not for people trying to keep up with every algorithmic wave. It’s for people who want to develop taste, lead with a point of view, and create lives, ideas, brands, and communities with more depth than a trending sound can hold.
If you are building something, becoming someone, or simply trying to make better sense of the world around you, you are in the right place.
